Location: Holmes Hall 388
Speaker: Dr. Manabu Higiwara, Chiba University

Classes of multi insertion/deletion error-correcting codes based on order theory and axiomatic algebra are proposed by an abstraction of Helberg's construction.
This talk is based on my talk at ISIT 2016.

Manabu Hagiwara received the B.E. degree in mathematics from Chiba University in 1997, and the M.E. and Ph.D. degrees in mathematical science from the University of Tokyo in 1999 and 2002, respectively.  From 2002 to 2005 he was a postdoctoral fellow at IIS, the University of Tokyo.  From 2005 to 2012 he was a research scientist of National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST).  Currently, he is an associate professor in Faculty of Science, Chiba University. His current research interests include industrial mathematics, coding theory, and combinatorics.
