This talk will focus on recent work in our lab, including microfluidic single-cell analysis and manipulation systems, embryo health analysis, and reconfigurable electronic circuits for communication systems and other applications. These topics include projects done with the help of many collaborators, including from other universities as well as other faculty members in the College of Engineering and JABSOM. Specific projects to be discussed include:
- Microrobotic systems for cell manipulation and cell surgery
- Microfluidic systems for single-cell analysis
- Machine learning for embryo health analysis
- Liquid-metal circuits and systems for wireless communications and flexible electronics
Dr. Ohta’s research interests include: the design, fabrication, and application of microfabricated devices, including microelectromechanical systems (MEMS), biomedical microdevices, microfluidics, optofluidics, and reconfigurable electronics.
