Two teams finalists in UH accelerator
Two teams with members from the Electrical Engineering Department were announced as finalists in the second cohort of the University of Hawaii's XLR8UH proof of concept center.

Akabotics, team composed of EE MS student Monica Umeda and architecture student Newton Parks: an autonomous robotic platform used to conduct continuous maintenance dredging on shallow waterways.
