Prof Host-Madsen receives COE faculty research award
Professor Anders Host-Madsen was presented with the UH College of Engineering 2019 Faculty Research Award at a ceremony at Holmes Hall on October 4, 2019. In presenting the award, Dean Brennon Morioka quoted Anders' nominator to say “Anders has been a faculty member at the University of Hawaii since 2001. He has had a very active and productive research career at the University of Hawaii with research interests in statistical signal processing, wireless communications, information theory, and data science. He is an IEEE Fellow and is a leading international researcher in signal processing, communications, and information theory. He has a high publication index with a Google Scholar h-index of 32 with 5852 citations, one of the highest rates in the College of Engineering.”
The selection of the faculty research awardee was based on aggregate research excellence over the last three years in areas of peer reviewed publications, books, and edited volumes; research grants and contracts; awards and honors for research, publication, and scholarly work; major service that furthers research; and technology transfer to industry and/or licensing/patent activity.
