ECE welcomes four new faculty for Fall 2023
The Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering at the University of Hawaii at Manoa is delighted to welcome four incoming faculty this fall.
Professor Boris Murmann will be continuing his illustrious career in the area of mixed-signal integrated circuit design. He is an IEEE Fellow and brings a whole host of experiences to share with our students and fellow researchers.
Assistant Professor Haofan Cai is joining us to continue her work in wireless networking, Internet-of-Things (IoT), mobile computing, computer vision, and network security. Dr. Cai will teach Digital Systems and Computer Design this semester.
Assistant Professor Igor Molybog will be working on the training of Generative Artificial Intelligence and will teach the graduate course on Linear System Theory.
Assistant Professor Liuwan Zhu focuses on identifying and addressing security issues in computer systems, cyber-physical systems, and Artificial Intelligence (AI). Dr. Zhu will teach a graduate course on Computer Architecture.
