This course aims to introduce students to the underlying physics behind the operation of solid-state devices. Topics covered include: band structure models, carrier transport physics, theory and design of semiconductor devices, such as Schottky diodes, pn-junction diodes, BJTs, MOSFETs, JFETs, and MESFETs.
