Wayne A. Shiroma received the B.S. degree from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in 1986, the M.Eng. degree from Cornell University, Ithaca, NY, in 1987, and the Ph.D. degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 1996, all in electrical engineering.
In 1996, he joined the University of Hawaii at Manoa as an Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering. He also served as a Member of the Technical Staff at Hughes Space and Communications, El Segundo, CA, developing solid-state power amplifiers for satellite communications.
His current research interests include microwave, millimeter-wave, and quasi-optical electronics.
