Yuanzhang Xiao is an associate professor from Hawaii Advanced Wireless Technologies Institute (HAWTI) at University of Hawaii at Manoa. Prior to this, he was a postdoctoral researcher from Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Northwestern University. He got his PhD from UCLA in 2014, and his B.S. and M.S. degrees from Tsinghua University in 2006 and 2009. He is the recipient of the 2013-2014 Dissertation Year Fellowship from UCLA.
His research background is reinforcement learning and game theory, and more recently, large language models (LLMs). He has worked on a variety of applications, such as wireless communications, smart grids, socio-technological networks, business resilience, and recommender systems.
